The Abbeville Manual of Style is produced by Abbeville Press, an independent art book publisher based in SoHo, New York City. It is neither an art blog nor a book blog nor a publishing blog, but rather a Manual of Style, which encompasses all of the above. It features book and company news, reviews, recommendations, interviews, and commentary about publishing and art. It is an indispensable guide to redefining your world, Abbeville-style.
The Manual is created by six persons of exquisite taste, known as the Arbiters of Style: Austin Allen, Erin Dress, Briana Green, Megan Malta, Michaelann Millrood, and Lauren Evangelista. It is updated daily Monday through Friday.

About the Header Image
The header contains a detail of the Libyan Sibyl from Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling. The Libyan Sibyl was a prophetess in Greek mythology; here, in a testament to her oracular wisdom, she is seen opening an early version of the Abbeville Manual of Style.
